December 2010: GEC receives ASHRAE Illinois Chapter 2010 Excellence in Engineering Award for its project Evelyn Pease Tyner Interpretive Center, A Zero Energy Building, Glenview, Illinois
September 2010: GEC teamed up with SEDAC in providing Level 3 Energy Audits for Commercial & Private Institutions and Retro-commissioning if required.
August 29. 2009: General Energy Corp. (GEC) was selected for energy efficiency evaluation of Calamos’s six story headquarters in Naperville, Illinois and a three story old headquarter building in Warrenville, Illinois.
June 24, 2009: GEC was selected to develop and plan energy efficiency program of Library System consisting of five libraries at Brown County, Green Bay, Wisconsin.
July 28, 2008: GEC was selected to design and engineer mechanical systems for a 67 Story High-rise Building – Aby Dhabi National Oil Company’s new headquarters in Abu Dhabi, Emirates. The system included HVAC, chilled water, smoke extraction, plumbing, and grey water system. The building is targeted for LEED Gold Certification.
